GRANITE FALLS, N.C. — The Tri County Speedway in Granite Falls, N.C. will be the next stop for the STOCK CAR CLASSICS group as they bring cars from several decades of NASCAR competition to the track on September 30 to join the racing program for a 25-lap showcase.
Brinkley Whiteside, founder of STOCK CAR CLASSICS and the owner of two cars involved in the group’s exhibition-style events, is very excited about the opportunity to participate in the track’s regular Saturday night of racing. “We are thankful to the staff and management at Tri County for allowing us to bring our cars and allow the fans to interact with us during the race night and also to see the cars run. Our motto is “keeping history on track”, and we always enjoy being able to get to a local short-track when we can. We’ve run tracks like Rockingham, Road Atlanta and Darlington, but it’s always fun to go back to the roots of racing with the cars that have helped shape NASCAR’s story for 75 years now.”
Fans are encouraged to come and see the cars up close, meet the men behind the machines and take photos or video as they wish.
